The Boarding Experience
The Pup’s & Paws Board and Train experience is all about developing your dog’s social, obedience, and comprehension skills through the use of positive reinforcement training. Reinforcing positive behaviors and straying from hurtful punishment tactics is the essence of what Pup’s & Paws professional dog training is about.
Before training sessions begin, one of our dog training professionals will conduct an in-home meet-and-greet to build rapport with your dog and assess their training needs.
Once it is time for training, puppy parents will need to bring their dogs to “The Pawplex” dog daycare (Pick-up and drop-off options are available by Pup’s & Paws professionals). Here, they will enjoy a kennel that feels just like home. Complete with daily outdoor community play care in PawPlay, regular housekeeping, and a temperature-controlled environment.
While some may have reservations about kennel environments, rest assured that at “The PawPlex”, your dog will be in the hands of dog loving professionals who aim to guide dogs toward healthily reaching their physical and mental potential. The facility at Pawplex offers ample space and playtime with other dogs ensuring that your furry friend has a fulfilling experience.

Location For Boarding Training
The personalized boarding training sessions with a Pup’s & Paws professional take place at either the Suwanee Town Center, Settles Bridge Park, Sims Lake Park, or a nearby area convenient to achieve training goals. Ensuring that your dog learns in a natural, engaging, and mentally stimulating setting.
- “Sit” and “Extended Sit”
- “Down” and “Extended Down”
- “Come Here” Recall Training
- “Stay” Staying in Place
Our training will also consist of:
- Loose Leash Walking (No more pulling)
- Handling Distractions
- Socialization With New Sounds and Environments

Duration
Our program spans a minimum of 2 weeks, allowing ample time and reps for your dog to progress and develop new skills and behaviors.
In-Home Sessions
To ensure long-term success, our program includes 3 in-home sessions. These sessions focus on reinforcing learned commands and addressing any potential issues.
Changes of environment play a massive role in a dog’s behavior and ability to comprehend commands. Whilst the boarding training takes place outdoors, it is essential to reinforce newly minted habits in an in-home setting. Not to mention developing skills that can not be replicated or taught in an outdoor setting.
The In-Home Training Curriculum Would Consist Of:
- A Recap On All Learned Commands Making Sure Dog Retains Learned Behaviors and How You As The Owner Can Reinforce New Commands
- Greeting Manners/ No Jumping
- Not Running Out The Door
- No More Counter Surfing/ Jumping On Bed Or Couch
- Potty Training
Because dogs are highly sensitive in connecting commands with the environment, the in-home sessions are essential to guide and reinforce their newly developed skills in their home environment and not just the outdoors where most of the training takes place.
Daily Updates
As a part of our commitment to keeping you as a puppy parent involved and informed, we provide daily videos, pictures, and updates about the progress being made by your dog through the training process.
You’ll have peace of mind knowing exactly how your furry best friend is progressing in every stage of the dog obedience training process.

Training Program Requirements
For the safety and success of all participants, there are a few prerequisites for our training program:
- Age: Dogs must be at least 5 months old to be eligible for our training program.
- Vaccinations: To ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs in our training program, we require the following vaccinations: Bordetella, DHLPP, and Rabies. Your dog must be up to date with these necessary vaccines before joining our program.
- Friendly and Well-Behaved: We do not train aggression towards humans or other dogs. Dogs should be friendly and well-behaved in the company of both people and other canine friends. If a dog doesn’t get along with other dogs, we offer individual playtime instead of Dayplay.
- Meet and Greet: Before booking the training sessions, we conduct an In-Home Training session (eligible within 15 to 20 Miles of 30024, Suwanee) to assess your dog’s needs and discuss the training plan.
