The Boarding Experience
The Pup’s & Paws Board and Train experience is all about developing your dog’s social, obedience, and comprehension skills through the use of positive reinforcement training. Reinforcing positive behaviors and straying from hurtful punishment tactics is the essence of what Pup’s & Paws professional dog training is about.
Once it is time for training, puppy parents will need to bring their dogs to “The Pawplex” dog daycare (Pick-up and drop-off options are available by Pup’s & Paws professionals). Here, they will enjoy a kennel that feels just like home. Complete with daily outdoor community play care in PawPlay, regular housekeeping, and a temperature-controlled environment.
While some may have reservations about kennel environments, rest assured that at “The PawPlex”, your dog will be in the hands of dog loving professionals who aim to guide dogs toward healthily reaching their physical and mental potential. The facility at Pawplex offers ample space and playtime with other dogs ensuring that your furry friend has a fulfilling experience.

What Your Dog Will Learn
“Sit” and “Extended Sit”
Your dog will master the “Sit” command and learn to maintain that position for extended periods, promoting calmness and focus.
“Down” and “Extended Down”
This command teaches your dog to lie down and stay down, reinforcing relaxation and control.
“Come Here” Recall Training
We’ll ensure your dog reliably returns when called, enhancing their safety and your peace of mind.
“Stay” Staying in Place
Your dog will learn to stay put until released, making it easier to manage them in various situations.
“Drop It”
Your dog will learn to release items on command, which is essential for safety and preventing possessive behavior.
“Leave It”
This command teaches your dog to ignore distractions and refrain from picking up unwanted items, promoting safety and good manners.

In-Home Training Curriculum
Recap on All Learned Commands
We will review all the commands your dog has mastered during training to ensure they retain their learned behaviors. You’ll also learn how to effectively reinforce these new commands at home.
Greeting Manners/No Jumping
Teach your dog proper greeting behavior to prevent jumping on guests, fostering polite interactions and a calmer environment.
Not Running Out the Door
Your dog will learn to wait calmly at doorways, ensuring their safety and preventing any dangerous escapes when the door opens.
No More Counter Surfing/Jumping on Bed or Couch
We’ll establish boundaries to prevent your dog from jumping on furniture or stealing food from counters, helping maintain a tidy and respectful home.
Potty Training
Address any potty training issues and reinforce appropriate bathroom habits, ensuring your dog understands where it is acceptable to go.
Training Program Requirements
For the safety and success of all participants, there are a few prerequisites for our training program:
- Age: Dogs must be at least 5 months old to be eligible for our training program.
- Vaccinations: To ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs in our training program, we require the following vaccinations: Bordetella, DHLPP, and Rabies. Your dog must be up to date with these necessary vaccines before joining our program.
- Friendly and Well-Behaved: We do not train aggression towards humans or other dogs. Dogs should be friendly and well-behaved in the company of both people and other canine friends. If a dog doesn’t get along with other dogs, we offer individual playtime instead of Dayplay.
- Meet and Greet: Before booking the training sessions, we conduct an In-Home Training session (eligible within 15 to 20 Miles of 30024, Suwanee) to assess your dog’s needs and discuss the training plan.
