Dog Trainer Suwanee – Meet Vanessa Taylor
Your dog isn’t “just being difficult.”
There’s always a reason behind the behavior—and that’s exactly what I focus on.
My goal is simple: help you understand your dog and create real-life results that last.
How It Started
I’ve been working with dogs for over 10 years—but it started long before that.
Growing up in Germany, I was constantly reading dog training books, watching training shows, and working with my own dog. I would even take neighbors’ dogs and train with them—returning them “better,” as their owners would say.
I’ve also worked with horses, which strengthened my ability to read behavior, timing, and communication—skills that directly translate into dog training.
This background built the foundation for how I train today: structured, observant, and focused on real behavior—not just commands.
My Approach to Dog Training
I don’t just teach dogs what to do—I focus on why they do it.
Behavior always has a reason. Whether it’s pulling, barking, reactivity, or not listening—your dog is responding to their environment, energy, and past experiences.
That’s why every training plan is built around:
✔ Understanding your dog’s behavior
✔ Understanding your household and routine
✔ Creating structure that fits your real life
✔ Building long-term reliability—not quick fixes
Training should work in your daily life—not just during a session.
Real Experience With My Own Dog
I work my own dog Kiba—an Australian Shepherd mix I brought from Germany—across multiple areas of training.
Together we’ve trained in:
✔ Agility training
✔ Scent work & tracking
✔ Search & rescue foundations (finding people)
✔ Working dog / K9-style introduction training
✔ Clicker and advanced trick training
This hands-on experience allows me to apply training in real-life situations—not just theory.
What I Can Help You With
✔ Leash pulling and stressful walks
✔ Reactivity to dogs or people
✔ Jumping on guests and lack of boundaries
✔ Puppy biting and potty training issues
✔ Not listening outside or ignoring commands
✔ Anxiety, barking, and overexcitement
If you’re currently struggling with leash training or behavior issues, you’re not alone—and it’s fixable.
I work with dogs across Suwanee, Buford, Alpharetta, and Johns Creek in real environments like your home and local parks.

Consistency Creates Results
Outside of dog training, I’m an athlete—and that mindset carries directly into how I train dogs.
Consistency, structure, and sustainability always win.
I stay up to date through training videos, books, and continuous research to make sure my methods evolve and stay effective.
Training isn’t about doing more—it’s about doing the right things consistently.
